When the city of Pompano Beach, Florida requested “The Bridge” for its Martin Luther King Jr. Day (2015) celebration and the opening of its new community center, Allan offered a more intimate performance. The stage was reminiscent of one in a junior high school gymnasium, all-wood, with a dark blue curtain, and flanked by American and Florida state flags.
The band sits, Allan softens his guitar, and improvises a thoughtful narration.
