GROWING UP WITH ROCKETS — Nancy Yasecko grew up on Florida’s Space Coast (Cocoa Beach), graduating from high school in 1970. In “Growing Up With Rockets,” she tells the story of the United States Space Program, narrating a collection of home movies, old photographs, and vintage news and educational accounts. The story is told through memories of her father, an instrumental engineer in the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo programs, as he told them to her at the time. At the films end, when describing the launch of Columbia (the first space shuttle), April 12, 1981, she speaks from her perspective as an engineer (college intern), assigned to the Shuttle program, following in her father’s Space Exploration footsteps.
