Not unusual on Florida’s Space Coast in 2026, an any-other-day SpaceX launch preceded the long anticipated launch of Artemis 2, NASA’s first manned mission to the Moon since Apollo 17, December 1972. The SpaceX launch was carrying what’s called a “spree” of satellites, and representened the increased frequency of StarLink (“commercial”) launches from Cape Canaveral.
