Crystal River “Mishap”
Alligator Staff Writer Mark Journey and photographer Barbara Hansen were at the anti-nuclear protest on UF’s Plaza of the Americas. The protest was organized after an accident at Alachua County’s Crystal River reactor reminded all of North Florida of Three Mile Island and The China Syndrome. The thought of Gainesville being rendered uninhabitable was a concern for most thoughtful UF student minds.
