University Ave. Blues
In the early 1970s, Gainesville, the small North Florida college town was home to many legendary musicians. Bo Diddley, The Allman Brothers, Stephen Stills, Don Felder, and Tom Petty were all locals. For many at UF, Johnny Hines, a University Avenue minstrel, was as popular as any.
