Imagine, after all that had already happened in 1980, the year would end with the murder of John Lennon, the most socially active Beatle. A sad day, and again the result of a handgun. Again it was Alligator editor David Dahl who had something to say.

Opinions varied about the number of guns “living” in campus housing. Most, after reading the Alligator’s “Smart Guns” story, were opposed … But like any other God-fearing Bible College in the South, UF had more than its fair share of Second Amendment Love.
