Artificial Inteligence

When the university decided to replace Florida Field’s naturally green grass  with a petroleum-based, toxic goo, it was thought that the change would save money. The turf was plastic, and it never needed to be mowed. Though, the bottom-line Tigert Hall and Athletic department failed to imagine what would happen to the artificial turf after it sat under a blazing-hot, blindingly bright, Florida sun? IT MELTS, is what they found. The Bull Gators saved some money, but learned the hard way what a mistake they had made. The Gators lost an unusually high number of players who injured their knees trying to play on the slippery carpet. In 1979, the university was convinced to “fix” the problem, spend (much) more money to tear out the goo, and make Florida Field naturally green again.

The only  good about the bad news (lights and artificial turf) is that the money won’t come from the students.
