Despite never having met Esther, it was immediately apparent to me how special a person she was. Years ago, as I stumbled around on MySpace, I randomly found he page, and she accepted my request and became my first (and forever) social media friend. Although speaking little English (and I not speaking Spanish), Esther recruited English-speaking friends, helping me through much of my online ignorance, and more importantly introducing me to Julio and GaiaStalla (Sr.Punto too!). Esther’s kindness easily transcended time, space, and language, and I feel fortunate for having met her. I will always cherish the memory of “MY FAVORITE SPANISH GIRL.”
